Summer Dream Smoothie

Image

It’s zero degrees here right now. I can’t think of a better time to have a smoothie, can you?! Cold outside, might as well make yourself cold inside as well. I know that might not sound fun but I drink smoothies every day so I’m used to it. And by used to it I mean I drink it and then lay on the couch covered in blankets for the next hour. But that’s okay. Totally worth it.

This smoothie is a combination of all of my favorite summer fruits. Yes, I know I should buy seasonally. But I think we all need to splurge every once in a while. Fruit splurge!

I actually got a really good deal on the blueberries last week (actually my dad got them, but still) and that inspired this summertime blast.

Watermelon, mango, blueberries, pineapple = perfection.

2 cups ice cubes
1 mango
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup pineapple

Toss it all in your blender. Blend it up. Turn on Aquamarine, Holiday In the Sun, or any other late 90’s-early 2000’s beachy movie, serve, enjoy!

Strawberry Banana Christmas Smoothie

Image

Officially 25 days until Christmas!! So exciting. I love Christmas baking, shopping, gift wrapping, Christmas sweaters, decorating, etc. Basically I enjoy everything about it except working retail. I think you can understand that.

I am such a smoothie person. I don’t care if it’s 100 degrees or 10 degrees, I still make smoothies and love it. (And then freeze afterwards, but it’s okay.) This is a quick and easy Christmas themed smoothie that you can make anytime.

Blend together milk and spinach to make sure the spinach is all chopped up, add bananas. Blend until mixed. Pour into a cute cup, glass, mug, etc. and top with sliced strawberries. (I layered strawberries on the top and bottom.) Serve, enjoy!

Mango Blueberry Smoothie

Here I am with another smoothie recipe for you. If you didn’t catch on already to the fact that I’m a smoothie fanatic, then you will soon enough!

I mean, what is better than throwing a bunch of delicious fruits and veggies into your blender and drinking refreshing (and nutritious) drinks?! I can’t think of very many things better than that. Especially on a perfect summer night.

I got home from work tonight a little later than expected and wanted to go on a short run before the sun went down. By the time I got home it was about an hour before my bed time! Yeah, I’m usually in bed around 10. But it’s Friday so I figured that I’d blog some and wait until 11 or so. I know, party animal! Anyways, I decided to just make a quick post-run smoothie to cool me down and eat up some of the delicious blueberries that my mom and I picked yesterday.

Summertime Smoothie

I got my wisdom teeth removed on Monday. I have been in misery this past week. It was definitely worse that I expected.

So I’ve had such a limited diet this week and I’ve basically been living off of this smoothie. It’s summery, chilly, and yummy. Strawberries, blueberries, and watermelon. You can’t go wrong with this! Especially when you’re mouth is the size of a watermelon.

Summertime Smoothie

1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries
2 large spoonfuls watermelon
1/2 cup almond milk (or preferred milk)
1/4 cup greek yogurt
